The same application uploaded to the portals of three different banks

The customer's documents, a form for every lender, and not one of them will ever give you an integration

Our system opens the programs you already use, reads the documents and fills in the fields for you

You don't have to replace your software, and you don't pay a large sum up front

Loan forms on a table with a pen resting on the papers

The customer's file is ready, and now the round begins

You have the payslips, the ID, the tax return, the bank statement, you asked three times for the page that was missing and in the end it turned up as a crooked photo with a thumb in the frame

Now that same application has to be uploaded to the first lender's portal, then to the second, then to the third, and the data is the same, but each of them has its fields in a different order, its own list of attachments, its own way of naming things, so it isn't one job, it's three, and you do all three

The hours that go between one screen and the next

  • The customer record retyped on every portal, name, tax code, address, data that is already written in the case management software
  • Income, employer, length of service, amounts, copied out of documents you have already read and already understood
  • Attachments to upload one at a time, renamed the way that lender wants them, in that format and under that file size
  • The status of the application to check, so you log back into the portals to see whether anything has moved
  • The missing documents to chase, and the list of who still owes you what, which you keep in your head or on a sheet of paper

What really grates is that your trade is working out which bank is the right one for that customer and getting the application through, and instead the day is eaten by copying

They won't give you a technical integration, and you don't need one

The lenders you work with won't open a direct channel into their systems, you're the one who logs into their portal with your credentials and fills in their screens, and that's the reason this part of the job looks impossible to take away

Muffin Suite works exactly like that, the system opens the screens and fills them in the way you would, without asking anyone for anything, and it's the house specialty, it holds for web portals and for the case management software you already have

Examples of what the system can do

These are examples of jobs the system can do, not jobs already delivered for some broker, we started recently and we'd rather tell you

  • It reads the documents the customer sent you, pulls out the customer record, the incomes and the amounts, and fills in the file in the case management software
  • It takes that file and retypes it on the first lender's portal, then on the second, field by field, attachments included, with the file names that portal wants
  • It checks that the application is complete before it starts, and if a page is missing, or a date doesn't add up, it stops and tells you
  • It logs back into the portals at intervals, looks at the status of the open applications and prepares your list of the ones that have moved
  • It puts together the list of missing documents customer by customer, so you send the reminder without having to rebuild it every time

What stays with you

Everything that counts, the underwriting stays with the bank and nobody touches it, the choice of where to send that application stays yours, the relationship with the customer stays yours

The system does the mechanical steps and stops when something doesn't add up, it doesn't invent a value it can't find, it sets it aside for you and waits

How much autonomy to give it is up to you, at the start it's worth keeping it on a short rein, with more confirmations, then you widen it on the cases you have already seen work

Here you are handling personal and financial data belonging to real people, so the scope is decided beforehand and put in writing, which data the system touches, where it stays, what it must not do, and the rules to follow are the ones you bring along with your own adviser, we carry those out

Why it's worth it

The time you spend today retyping the same application onto three portals comes back to you, and in this trade time is applications, if you handle more of them with the same people you can do the sum yourself

You don't have to replace your software, the system uses what's already in front of you, and if you want to put your own numbers on it there's the page to work out the savings

How we start

I'm Antonio Fuccillo, I write the automations myself and I answer the messages myself, so you're talking directly to the person who does the work

You show me a procedure, a short screen recording with none of your customers' data in it is fine, I look at whether it can be done and I tell you the monthly fee before we start, that figure stays and you approve every addition yourself, if you'd rather understand the method first there's how it works, or write to me from the contact page

What people usually ask us

You don't need one, Muffin Suite has the system work inside the portal's screens, the way a person with a keyboard would, so a credit broker can automate uploading applications even on the portals of lenders that offer no direct channel at all
No, Muffin Suite automates the case management software the credit broker already uses, the system opens it and fills it in on his behalf, with no data migrations and no new program to learn
No, the choice of lender stays with the credit broker and the underwriting stays with the bank, the Muffin Suite system carries out the mechanical steps, it collects the documents, fills in the fields and uploads the attachments following the rules you give it
It stops instead of carrying on at random, and maintenance is inside the monthly fee, so when a lender's portal moves a field Muffin Suite puts the credit broker's automation back in order with no separate request for money
It depends on the scope, and it's decided before we start, which data the system touches and where it stays is written down in black and white, together with the adviser who looks after the credit broker on this, Muffin Suite carries out the rules it is given
It depends on how much work gets taken away, Muffin Suite agrees the monthly fee before the rollout, with no large upfront cost, the figure is given after we have seen the real procedure and you approve every later addition yourself
